Candidate Experience - Schedule an Interview

There are two ways for an interview to be scheduled for a candidate: Scheduled by the Hiring Authority, or by the candidate. Check out how candidates manage interview scheduling requests below.

Scheduled by the Hiring Authority

When an interview is scheduled by the Hiring Authority, the date and time of the interview are set in the Talentcare Platform, and notification is sent to the candidate and Candidate Portal.

  • From the Candidate Portal, the candidate will see a message about the upcoming interview

  • Details about the interview are provided, including Date, Time, Interviewer, and Interview Type
  • The candidate can choose to Accept or Decline/Cancel the interview by clicking the applicable button
  • Once the interview is accepted, the candidate can use the Add to Calendar button to add an event to their personal calendar for the interview

Scheduled by Candidate

If the Hiring Authority elects to allow the candidate to choose the date and time for the interview, the candidate will see the request in the Candidate Portal.

  • From the Candidate Portal, the candidate will see a message about the upcoming interview

  • By clicking Schedule Interview, the candidate will be shown the upcoming interview

  • Details about the interview are provided, including the Interviewer, Interview Type, Date Range, and Duration
  • The candidate can choose to Schedule or Decline/Cancel the interview by clicking the applicable button
  • Once the candidate initiates scheduling the interview, a Book an Interview pop-up window will appear

  • The candidate must select their Time-zone
  • Using the calendar, the candidate can select an available day within the provided date range
  • Available time slots will populate, allowing the candidate to select the time slot that works best
  • The candidate must click Submit to complete the scheduling process

Next Steps

Once an interview is scheduled, the candidate can decline or cancel the interview at any time from the Candidate Portal. Any other documents or action items the candidate needs will be made available in the Candidate Portal as well.
