Find out more about what our FTP Integrations are and how they work.
What is a FTP Integration?
FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol, and is one of the methods used by some of our third parties for integration.
-
FTP is often used to transfer files between clients and third parties
-
These files are often CSV files with candidate info and candidate documents
How does FTP Integration work?
Depending on the third party, FTP integrations may be used as the primary method of integration, or as a supplement to other integration methods.
Using FTP as the primary method
-
You, the client, will need to contact the third party that is to be used for integration to initiate the process
-
Once contact is made, we work with the third party to determine what resources and information is needed
-
After the integration is established, we transfer candidate information to the third party via CSV
-
Depending on the third party, we may not receive any feedback on the candidate once it is sent to the Third Party
Using FTP as a supplement
-
Typically, if FTP is used to supplement other integration methods, it is used to send candidate documents, such as Resumes, Cover Letters, etc. to the third party
-
Documents are transferred to the third party, and are processed for each candidate
