Find out more about what our API Integrations are and how they work.
What is an API Integration?
API stands for Application Programming Interface, and is one of the methods used by some of our third parties for integration.
-
APIs allow multiple applications to talk to each other
-
Setting up an API for the integration allows us to connect to the third party to send/receive data between applications
How does API Integration work?
Depending on the third party, there may be some nuanced steps for the process of setting up an API integration, but generally the steps below outline how the integration works.
-
Typically, you will need to contact the third party that is to be used for integration to initiate the process
-
Once contact is made, we receive any resources from the third party and begin the setup of the API integration
-
After the integration is setup, we proceed with ensuring candidates are setup properly using any required fields
-
If any candidates fail to send to the third party, we retry sending the failures
-
After 5 failed attempts, a Support Ticket needs to be submitted to find out what the issue is and potentially manually enter the candidate
